Photo Pitch during DDK- Paris Edition

DDK- Paris Edition is looking for six photographers who would like to pitch their photo project to an audience in three minutes on Friday 16 November 2012 at Institut Néerlandais in Paris. After the pitches, the audience will decide who is the winner. This photographer will receive funding of €1,000,- from Picturae for his or her photo project.
From November 15-18, 2012 the photography fair Paris Photo will be held in the French capital. De Donkere Kamer (DDK or dark room), a popular bi-monthly live show about photography held in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, will have its Paris edition during Paris Photo. The DDK- Paris Edition will take place on Friday November 16, 2012 at Institut Néerlandais in Paris, France, from 4:30 until 7:30 pm.

For DDK- Paris Edition we are looking for six photographers who need a financial contribution to kickstart a photo project, who need backing for a photobook, who are seeking aid for exhibition prints and especially photographers with a good story that will convince the public in three minutes.

In addition to €1,000,- for their photo project Picturae also offers the winning photographer 100 high quality scans of their negatives.

Aspiring photographers can send an email and motivation letter (explaining why you need the funding), a project description (max. 1 A4) and a recent CV and portfolio (max. 10 images) in a single PDF no larger than 5MB to: pitchjefotoproject@fotografenfederatie.nl. The selected photographers will be invited to present their project on Friday November 16, 2012. All the six selected photographers get €100,- to help with travelexpenses.

The deadline for entry is October 31, 2012.

DDK- Paris Edition is a collaboration between the FotografenFederatie (the Dutch Photographers Federation), Picturae (international service provider for cultural heritage) and website PhotoQ.
