In de Spaanse stad Tarragona wordt dit najaar het eerste festival voor food fotografie georganiseerd. Volgens de organisatoren nodig, omdat het een belangrijke vorm van professionele fotografie betreft die meer wordt gepubliceerd dan mode- of nieuwsfotografie.
‘There is no other realm of human culture that is as influenced by photography as food,’ stelt de organisatie, die verder onder meer meldt: ‘We want to share our work, exchange opinions, learn from each other and make comparisons. In short, to share our passion with our audience. So who are we? We’re the photographers and stylists, agents and editors, publishers and customers who work in the field of food photography.’
